PDV-C406-LP Overview
Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. To ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-5 Variant, 2 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages. When photodiodes are continuously reverse-biased, the maximum voltage they can withstand is 100V. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 100V permanently. In the absence of light input, a photodiode produces a 5nA current.
