Safety precautions are taken by putting the current sensors in Module, Single Pass Through packages. Bulk protects the current sensors from damage. There should be no current greater than 22mA coming from current sensors. In the current sensor design, 1.2kA is the current for which the sensors are designed. As far as the current sensor is concerned, it has 3 pins. As a general rule, current sensors should supply an electrical current of 22mA.
