In order to protect the magnetic switch from damage, it is packaged in the Tape & Box (TB) enclosure. In order to prevent damage to the magnetic switches, they are packaged in 3-SIP packages. The magnetic switches can supply a maximum current of 4mA for good performance. A magnetic switch should only output 55mA current.
